PAYMENT / DEPOSIT / CANCELLATION & NON ARRIVAL POLICY

 

  • If monies are deposited into our account incorrectly we will refund once cleared with our bank, less any expenses.

  • Rates are quoted in South African Rands.

  • Reservations are subject to terms & conditions on check in.

  • Check-in/out times:
    check-in from 14h00 - 20h00. Please let us know if you are arriving after 17h00.
    check-out 10h30
    These are negotiable should guests circumstances require tweeking.

  • Accepted means of payment are by credit/debit card, EFT, SnapScan, Zapper, or cash paid directly into our bank account. Banking details on request. We apologise we do not accept payment by cheque or travellers cheques.

  • Your booking will be secure once your deposit has been received:
    100% deposit required for a booking of 7 days or less.
    50% deposit required for a booking of 8 days or more, & the 50% balance is due before arrival.

  • Cancellations more than 14 days prior to visit forfeit 50% of the total booking quote.

  • Cancellations between 14 and 1 day/s prior to visit forfeit 100% of the total booking quote.

  • For non-arrival/no show/premature departure 100% of total booking quoted is payable.

  • However - where one guests cancellation is filled by a new application and there is no loss of business an admin fee is applied & the balance refunded.

  • Exceptions will be applied on compassionate grounds.

  • An admin fee is 10% of the booking quote.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse.

Any damage caused by guests to property and premises due to bad behaviour or carelessness, or keys lost and replaced for security reasons will be for the guests account.

Common areas and the swimming pool may not be used by children without adult supervision (18yrs+). Swimming is at your own risk, Shepherd's Corner Guesthouse will not be held responsible for any loss of property, injury to persons or death, upon the premises.

DAMAGES

Guests are financially responsible for any damages they establish within their unit during their stay, including carpet and linen stains.
